Business Valuation Explained: A guide to business valuation methods

Business Valuation Explained: An introduction to business valuation

Almost invariably, business owners want to know what their businesses are worth--in other words, what their business valuation is. Unfortunately, the business valuation question isn't necessarily easy to answer. A good, reliable business valuation depends on many factors--not the least of which is the actual business valuation method used. (There are at least three common business valuation approaches that sellers, buyers, business brokers, and business valuation experts use.)

Accordingly, to help business owners make sense of what can be a complicated and confusing topic, this web site describes the three most common business valuation methods used for assessing small and medium sized enterprises. The Business Valuation Explained web site then answers some of the most common questions about business valuation that my clients ask me. And finally the web site provides a list of links to some other free resources that supply information that may be helpful to people thinking about business valuation (especially people who are interested in business valuation because they're buying or selling a business).
